Samsung Reveals Summer 2024: What to expect, from Galaxy Z Fold 6 to AI!

Samsung's summer Galaxy Unpacked event is less than two weeks away, and plenty of rumors are swirling about what'll be unveiled. It's possible the company will introduce new foldable phones, earbuds, smartwatches and, perhaps most notably, share more details about the highly anticipated Galaxy Ring health wearable. We also expect to hear updates about Galaxy AI, the phone maker's suite of AI-powered software features.

Samsung will broadcast the event live on the company's website, Samsung Newsroom and YouTube channel on July 10 starting at 6:00 am. PT (9:00 a.m. ET). The company also released an animated invitation to its YouTube channel, which shows a 3D cube rotating on a flat surface, which then projects the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower and the Galaxy AI logo..

"The next frontier of Galaxy AI is coming," Samsung wrote in an official event invitation sent out by the company on Tuesday. Samsung's Galaxy AI, which debuted earlier this year, is designed to improve and simplify tasks like photo editing and searching. And as more phone manufacturers from Apple to Google introduce their own AI offerings, Samsung will surely continue to step up its development in this area. In fact, the announcement of Galaxy AI suggests that it is likely to dominate the mainstream conversation.

New foldable devices on the horizon Samsung usually hosts two Unpacked events a year; one in January or February, when it will introduce the latest Galaxy S lineup, and another in the summer, which will focus on foldable devices.

Therefore, it is likely that we will see the debut of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 during this event. Leaker Evan Blass shared images of what the devices could look like, as previously reported by 9to5Google. The Z Fold 6 appears to have a wider aspect ratio for both the internal and external displays, as well as slimmer bezels for the external display. It is said to be silver and navy blue. The Z Flip 6 is said to be light blue and silver and may have a titanium frame. (A later WinFuture affiliate also shows the Z Fold 6 in pink and the Z Flip 6 in green and yellow.)

The invitation also reads: "Get ready to explore the power of Galaxy AI, now integrated into the latest Galaxy Z series . and the entire Galaxy ecosystem” – hinting that the next generation of foldable and flip devices will also be released..

Samsung is announcing new headphones, which means we'll see the Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro or both. The company will debut the Buds 2 at its summer event in 2021, and the Buds 2 Pro the following year. Leaks suggest that the Galaxy Buds 3 could borrow the design of Apple's AirPods Pro with the bulb and angled stem.

The case can also be rectangular and open at the top with a transparent design so that users can check at a glance if both buds are inside. However, Samsung doesn't seem to be borrowing Apple's bright white color palette, as it is said to be using dark and metallic colors in its models.

Time for new smartwatches. We might see the Galaxy Watch 7 with a more powerful Ultra version that would offer more premium features and a higher price tag. Samsung could also introduce a more affordable Samsung Galaxy Watch FE. It might appeal to people who want a smartwatch but don't want to drop several hundred dollars on more expensive versions.

Thunderbolt 5 Cable is Here! But is it of any use?

Intel's Thunderbolt 5 may be the best USB-C cable ever, with 120 Gbps unidirectional bandwidth, 240 watts of power, and enough power to drive external SSDs, eGPUs, and high-resolution, high-refresh displays from a single cable. an unprecedented level. But so far, the only laptop we've heard of with a Thunderbolt 5 port is the Razer Blade 18, and even there it's not guaranteed. To get this port, you have to buy the $4,500 Mercury version of the laptop. (You can also get an Intel i9 and a mo...

Has Apple Increased Manufacturing of iPhone 16 line-up?

In 2011, Apple released its first device to work with the Siri artificial intelligence voice assistant, the iPhone 4S. At the time, the new feature was from the tech campus and helped more than double sales from last year's release weekend. Fast forward more than a decade, and Apple could be gearing up for another AI-inspired surge. Apple is ramping up production orders for its next iPhone chip, according to a report from Taiwan's CTEE and translated by MacRumors. Orders placed with partner manufacturer TSMC are up to 100 million units, a whopping 12% more than last year's original orders. The iPhone maker's seemingly bullish plans suggest it expects excitement about artificial intelligence technologies to at least partially boost tech sales during the all-important holiday shopping season. Technology has generally dominated many of the top holiday shopping lists over the years, but it's clear that tech companies expect AI-driven excitement to outpace demand. Other...
